OTHER THERAPIES
DRY PUNCTURE
This is an invasive technique where a very thin acupuncture needle (0.25 mm. or 0.30 mm. in diameter) is inserted into the body, without carrying any type of substance. Its objective is to eliminate the pain that exists at the trigger point within a tense band or contracture, thus achieving relaxation of the muscle or tendon that is tense and rigid.
Sometimes the effects are immediate, but depending on the type of injury, more sessions may be needed until the pain or symptoms completely disappear.
KINESSIOTAPE OR NEUROMUSCULAR TAPE
Kinesiotape consists of adhering cotton tapes to the body with an acrylic adhesive, and is used to treat sports injuries and other physical disorders with tapas. It is possible to enhance the strength of a muscle, relax it, reduce inflammation in an area, relax a trigger point, drain an area, and stabilize a joint.
SOHIER
We use a gentle, non-aggressive manipulative technique for people who are apprehensive about manipulations or who have some type of pathology in which it cannot be performed, as well as for the youngest children. It’s called the Sohier concept.
ZONAL ACUPUNCTURE IN PAIN POINTS
Intradermal needles: These are small needles that are placed at a specific point of pain, in order to eliminate pain and inflammation in that area.
Stiperpuncture: Small cotton balls impregnated with sicilian microcrystals that manage to balance the energy of a specific area of the body in order to eliminate pain.
