GUIDED CLASSES
Pilates
We hold classes individually or in small groups of 4-5 people.
We also offer Pilates classes for pregnant women, starting in the second trimester of pregnancy.
The Pilates method of physical conditioning is a system of stretching and strengthening exercises developed over ninety years by Joseph H. Pilates.
It improves body control, corrects posture and alignment, strengthens and tones muscles, provides flexibility and balance, unifies body and mind focused on breathing and creates a more rational form.
Joseph Pilates was born in Germany in 1883. He was a sickly child, suffering from rickets, asthma, and rheumatic fever. His drive to overcome these ailments led him to explore and practice bodybuilding, gymnastics, diving, and was greatly influenced by the ancient Greek and Roman regiments.
All of this provides the basis for the innovation of a system that develops throughout your life.
The Pilates method, with over ninety years of success, stands out as a tried and true formula of wisdom and indestructible results, recommended for all ages and levels of physical fitness, from beginner to the most advanced.
Pilates was developed to create a healthy body, healthy mind and a healthy life.
“In ten sessions you can feel the difference, in twenty you can see the difference, and in thirty you will have a new body.” Joseph H. Pilates.
Be ready to discover a new person and embrace the pleasure of good health.
Stretching
We hold classes individually or in small groups of 4-5 people.
Stretching is a training method that consists of lengthening the muscles. Practicing it constantly allows you to achieve good joint mobility.
The benefits:
At a musculoskeletal level, stretching increases the flexibility and elasticity of muscles and tendons, improving movement capacity.
In addition, it is an optimal way to prevent muscle contractures, in some cases it reduces the feeling of fatigue and can prevent muscle trauma (strains, fibrillar ruptures, etc.) and joint trauma (degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis).
Stretching also helps to lower blood pressure, promoting circulation and facilitating relaxation by reducing physical stress.
Hypopressive gymnastics
Classes are held individually.
The creator of the hypopressive method and its different variants was Dr. Marcel Caufriez, who is a Doctor in Motor Sciences and Readaptation from the Free University of Brussels and specializes in Uro-gynecological rehabilitation and reeducation.
What are hypopressive abdominals?
It is a new technique aimed at strengthening the abdominal girdle. It is a set of exercises (postures and movements) that allow you to reduce tension in the intra-abdominal area (thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavity) and at the same time, activate the muscles of the pelvic floor and deep abdominal area.
The technique combines breathing and proper control of the abdomen.
The objective will be to improve the tone of the abdominal muscles, pelvic floor and spine, since due to age, certain high-impact sports and postpartum, these muscles may be weakened or damaged.
This technique was developed in the late 1980s as an alternative for the rehabilitation and toning of the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor of women during postpartum, since until then the techniques used could cause alterations in pelvic statics.
Postpartum: Recover the abdominal girdle and normal tone of the pelvic floor
Urinary, fecal or gas incontinence problems. Improves fluid retention
Abdominal pain, slow intestinal transit or constipation
In the descent of viscera, such as the uterus, bladder or rectum, and in abdominal or urinogynecological surgeries
For back problems: lower back pain, prevention of herniated discs, poor postural hygiene.
In athletes who perform high-impact sports
Postural reeducation and back school.
These exercises are performed individually, never in a group.
We treat spinal deviation problems, whether scoliosis, hyperlordosis, cervical rectification, etc. through exercises guided by a physiotherapist.
MEZIÈRES
This therapy treats the patient individually within a global view of body mechanics. The aim of this method will be to improve body posture and relieve pain by rebalancing the muscle and joint chains, based on global active stretching exercises.
